Trevor Binyon of R S Tenon has been appointed as liquidator to Nouveau World Wines and Nick Wood of Grant Thornton as liquidator to Finbow Wines Limited.
Due to the link between the two companies, Grant Thornton was given the opportunity of acting jointly with R S Tenon, but refused.
well that is not good, that would have saved time, money and achieved quicker results.... obviously its all about the money
ReplyDeleteIs their any update on the court case as I lost money throught his company but I have no more information on how precedings are going so any update would be a bonus
ReplyDeleteAndy. As far as I know no charges have yet been brought, although a number of people are on police bail. It is not, however, that unusual for fraud investigations to take a long time.
ReplyDeleteCould say lots if you look my comments under Finbow wines Ltd blog 2010 just sent a commnet on that page at fart end today waiting for approval !!!.
ReplyDeleteI had a word with the police recently. Finbow co. was a forerunner to Nouveau Wines which failed, and they set up this scam after that. went on for about a year with 1.8million taken to date- no wine, no money tracable. they (6 people)are on bail till April 2012 cos of more evidence awaiting from oz. sorry not good news for us. got to write it off. maybe something will come back in time but wouldn't hope on that. seems like they spent it as it came in, luxury cars, hotels, wages, expenses, rent, commissions etc etc. very corrupt. justice will prevail
ReplyDeleteAny new on when the court case is? The last I knew it was in April. I would like to go to the court just to see what these people look like.

Andy. As far as I know there have been no charges as yet, so I would be very surprised if there was a court case in April.
